Pages: 1 | 2 | 3 The Chateau is 160 years old. Built during the reign of Louis Philippe, not for defence but to impress. Bill and Kevin are continuing the process of restoring the Chateau and its gardens in the manner of its original design. An endless but rewarding task.
The Cottage, situated in the gardens a few metres from the Chateau, offers two separate suites - both with good sized bedrooms and again named after local rivers – and is entirely at ground floor level for easy access. One suite has a double bedroom and a separate single bedroom. The other has a double bedroom with two double beds. Each suite has its own ensuite bathroom and separate toilet. The two suites share a comfortable lounge area and large outside private terraced deck for relaxing. The Cottage has its own kitchen, allowing it to be used as a Gite by a family or group of friends for a self-catering holiday. All of the rooms have pretty views, either over the village with its ancient church or the gardens with their tree lined alleys. ![]() In the licensed bar you can sit and relax before dinner with your Gin & Tonic or try a bottle from our expertly chosen wine list. After dinner, you can watch the sun go down from the wonderful south facing terrace or relax in the lounge. French windows lead onto the terrace from lounge and the library. Sorry, but no pets are permitted at the Chateau. It’s the territory of the Owners' Pembroke Corgis! And, for insurance and safety reasons, smoking is only permitted outside on the terraces or in the grounds, and where it does not disturb the comfort of our non-smoking guests. Thank you for your consideration. |
