Come and enjoy warm and sunny days, with plenty of outside dining eating. Come and enjoy walking, bicycling, sightseeing….and recharge your batteries, relaxing at the Chateau while we take care of you! Come and enjoy Chateau Cocktails and evening hors d’oeuvres before dinner, sip the Chateau’s elegant Campari Martini, a Pimms or share a special bottle of Bergerac wine from our wine cellar. Come celebrate a birthday, anniversary or engagement. Come and enjoy Villars’ annual firework show over the Chateau, beautifully set to music, at the end of the August!

Come and enjoy Bill’s wonderful gluten free lunches and dinners. Come and enjoy our organic produce (zucchini, peppers, heirloom tomatoes, beans, peas, aubergines and herbs) from the Chateau’s vegetable garden! Bill and Richard challenge themselves each year with new inventiveness to add to those menu items our guests continue to love and request. How can it get better…..but it does! The perfectly selected fresh ingredients provide our guests with a gluten free experience second to none - french and fabulous! And any non-coeliac partner revels in the mouth watering variety of their dining experience here – not for a moment thinking they are eating gluten free…but they are…always!
Your stay at the Chateau will be a memorable one, not just for the good food, wine and company but also for the experience of stepping back in time. The five bedrooms in the Chateau, all named after local rivers, are light and airy and the decoration will allow you a peek into the era of Louis Philippe, though with the benefit of modern conveniences! All of the bedrooms, freshly decorated, have ensuite bath or shower rooms. We can accommodate those wanting one double or queen size bed in one room, those wanting two double beds in one room or two single beds in one room. So we can mix and match to meet your needs!

Self-Catering Holidays
If you want to self-cater, then we can offer you our Trincou Summer House (just stone’s throw away across the Chateau’s lawns) or our 18th century Maison des Sabots in the adjoining Rue du Moulin. And, of course, you can always drop by for a drink in the Chateau’s bar or dinner in the Chateau’s restaurant. For our self-catering guests, we are always happy to set up provisions for your arrival and to bake and deliver gluten free bread for you during your stay here – and if you are not traveling with toaster bags, we’ll provide your own gluten free toaster.
The Trincou Summer House offers two separate suites – both with good sized bedrooms and again named after local rivers – and is entirely at ground floor level for easy access. One suite has a double bedroom and a separate single bedroom. The other has a double bedroom with two double beds. Each suite has its own ensuite bathroom and separate toilet. The two suites share the well-equpiied kitchen comfortable lounge area and large outside private terraced deck for relaxing. All of the rooms have pretty views, either over the village with its ancient church or the gardens with their tree lined alleys.
And if ‘Sabots’ interests you, please ask us to send you details. Luxury, quaintness and elegance, with a splendid outside terrace and garden.

Come and enjoy the Perigord Vert area of the northern Dordogne!
