Bill’s kitchen is entirely gluten free – each day of the year — and with Juvela’s products, the combination is a winning one!  The top class gluten free products and our gourmet French cuisine!

We use the freshest ingredients possible, often from local farms and often organic.  We serve artisanal local cheese and yoghurts.  We grow many of our own herbs and some selected vegetables and fruits – and our Chateau ‘potager’ (vegetable garden) is a growing feature of life here!

Our “Special Diet Holidays” for coeliacs, their partners, families and friends are the main reason that Chateau de Villars has such enormous popularity. We extend our experience and care to those who have other special diet requirements also, whether coeliac or not, including those who are vegetarians, those who are wheat free but not coeliac, or those who are dairy free, egg.

With thousands of gluten free and special diet breakfasts, lunches and dinners served at the Chateau over the years, we know our business. We know the problems involved with foreign travel. Our stainless steel commercial kitchen was  installed in 2007  and is specially designed with designated areas for certain foods, eliminating the danger of cross contamination. Our kitchen is always ‘Gluten Free’. No other establishment is specifically designed around ‘Special Diet’ guests, as we are. Our personal care and experience ensures that your ‘Special Diet’ is dealt with safely. Every precaution is taken to ensure that each guest’s diet requirements are met each day.  By the time you arrive here, we’ll have sent you our checklist and we’ll be ready for your Special Diet!

It is always a pleasure for us to see the relief our coeliac (celiac) guests have with a stress free holiday, enjoying the wonderful food we serve here. Unlike many others, we do not just offer the possibility of gluten free dining, all our catering is gluten free. Whilst this makes no difference to non-coeliacs, it makes all the difference to coeliacs.
